Problems deploying to dedicated server

I have used the deploy.cmd script to create artifacts for deployment. The articats have then been copied to my dev server. There I have followed the instructions given on

http://docs.virtocommerce.com/display/vc2devguide/Deploy+web+applications+to+dedicated+server

This gave me some problems:

  •  Assets not working. If I added the virtual folder in the admin app as in the "Getting started guide" it worked.
  •  Frontend not working at all if I use connection string to admin ending with "api". If I omit "api", and use it as in the "Getting started guide" it worked.
  •  Frontend have no styles applied. Browser says "Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 (Internal Server Error), http://virtodev/Electronics/en-US/themes/assets/default.scss.css" ++

What is the error description?

Probably you haven't installed the Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 on your server.

Thank you for your feedback.

This article is quite outdated and we will update it after the v2.10 release.

Thanks. Looking forward to that.

In the meantime, anyone got any ideas on why I get (500)server error on the .scss.css files?

I am running an unmodified 2.10.1425 version, and the homepage of the electronics store give these errors:

GET http://virtodev/Electronics/en-US/themes/assets/ajaxify.scss.css (500)

GET http://virtodev/Electronics/en-US/themes/assets/default.scss.css (500)

GET http://virtodev/themes/assets/default.scss.css (500)

Yes indeed. Installing that gave me a beautiful site.

Thanks.
