Azure install stuck on "Updating Search Index"

Hi,

I've successfully installed Virto Commerce on Azure using the management portal installation from Gallery, however when installing the installer gets through all steps until the last step "Updating Search Index" and gets stuck. This is only when deselecting the "Create Sample Store" option, otherwise if this option is left on then the installer successfully completes.

The operation seems to time out and then when accessing the site I get an error message "Oops" - "WE ARE UPDATING THIS SITE

We're sorry, we are updating our application. Please refresh the page in a few minutes.

If  you choose install VC without sample data, then you need to configure store and prepare catalog first. Follow this tutorial for preparing new store: http://docs.virtocommerce.com/display/vc1devguide/New+Store+getting+started

Hi,

we'll look into stuck search indexing. It is most likely completes but since there is no data in the catalog fails to report result correctly.

The second message you are getting is a generic message for a site error, basically happens when there is no catalogs, sites or products configured which is what happens when you choose to not install sample data.
